Thank you for sharing your experience. The Linksys RE6500 can extend the range of your wireless router up to 10,000 square feet. Our recommendation is to make sure that your range extender is getting at least 50% of your router’s Wi-Fi signal and is located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi.
Also, it has a Spot Finder technology which helps you determine the optimal placement of the unit. If you upgrade your RE6500 with the latest firmware, it will have the Spot Finder feature. Not a solution for my needs

This did not work for me. Could not get the pairing to work in the area I was looking to cover. Ended up returning and went with a different product.

Very hard to make connections.

Contacted Linksys, their agent assistance and 45 minuets of work we got connected. When I tried to relocate the item it failed to re-connect to my WiFi. I returned the item to Best Buy.

I got it working but when I would connect to its wifi nothing would load up. I returned it the next day with no problems

Doesn't penetrate walls

There were a lot of walls to penetrate. I ended up taking it to my shop and using it there. I'm sure it would work fine in a more open floor plan.

not consistant to extend internet

My router is upstairs and this is downstairs to extend the signal downstairs. Constantly resetting it to get it to work. Might be my internet signal, it's Spectrum

It only works 50% of the time and only when the xbox that is also hooked up to it is on. It makes absolutely no sense.
