    I installed it just 20 feet from my wi-fi and it said it was too far away. Not impressed so far.

    As soon as I got this , I immediately tested it , but disappointed because, the output signal was only 27 Mbps and input signal was around 190 Mbps download/ 180 Mbps upload, I thought I can boost the signal up to 400 Mbps. It was a mistake, Maybe this is good for an input signal of 10-20 Mbps. I was able to return it without questions ask. Thank you Best Buy.

    Conflicts with existing router

    The unit seemed pretty simple to install but it kept having conflicts with my AT&T router. It is now sitting in the same box it was purchased in a month ago. As soon as the unit gets removed from my home network everything starts working properly again. Very Disappointed

    This unit almost made a year before it went bad. Start up and connecting was easy enough and it worked for almost a year.

    I can't tell if the extender is improving my WiFi reception in my office on the other side of the house from the router. Can you suggest how I can test it

    I found the system difficult to set up. Instructions very poorly written and does not correspond with actual hardware. It also does NOT maintain internet connection. Frequently shows orange light even when in very close proximity to main router. I have sh__ canned the device.

    I purchased this linksys to extend my wifi. It worked for about 95 days then it completely quit. When contacting linksys they advised me they would replace the router but I had to buy a new router plus pay shipping. After they investigated then I could possibly get my money back but that depends on the person who reviews the case. Not going to pay for the same router twice.

      It could be that the extender is not in a proper location. Make sure to place it halfway between the router and the area that you want to cover, however, it should still get at least three WiFi bars from the router. Keeping the firmware up to date will also help to improve the overall performance of the device.
