During setup it did not stay turned on and did not amplify my wifi. That being said it could have been defective or my 90 year old brick and concrete house.

dosent boost enough

This is not the story we wanted to hear from a valued customer like you. To fully maximize the performance of the RE6500 Wi-Fi extender, it is recommended to relocate it to an area which is getting at least 50% of your router's Wi-Fi signal and is located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi. The Spot Finder page should help you find the best location.
