Device is smaller than I thought which makes it nice to put on a dresser. Setup was easy but did have some issues but was quickly resolved after a reboot. Remember to change the password once the device is linked with your main wireless router. It did increase the range but will need more tests to see if the purchase was a good one.

Setup was reasonably straight forward and unit worked ok. Dropped connections after about an hour of use and had to be set up again. Has worked ok since. Seems to cover a radius of about 20 feet with a single wall between unit and device. Can stream video on TV and surf web on tablet at the same time.

It was insanely easy to install; plug it in, follow about 3-4 steps on the computer and the extender began to work flawlessly. During the setup process, the setup app informed me if I placed the extender too far or too close to the main router. Which I did placed it too far at first; I made the necessary adjustments and placed the extender roughly 40 feet away from the main router. The setup app then stated that the extender was in the perfect position. Since the WiFi Extender is pretty small, it's hardly noticeable.

Once configured, this device works the way it is supposed to. Linksys' documentation is a little lacking as well as their support. I have a complex network setup to keep everything secure and I like it that way, but having to go through 4 technicians (advanced ones to boot) just to be told I need to buy a new router that's more compatible when you are withholding information that will make my current devices work together is not the way to make loyal customers! Programming a device that creates issues rather than solves them is bordering on the criminal. After pressuring Linksys for a better solution the "fix" was to change the 1st octet of the MAC address of this device so I could continue to use a MAC filter for security on their router! Really?! Whether management's decision or engineering's idea, only shows they're out for making more money in sales volume and have no concern for their customers. Buying the latest and greatest makes everything OK, right? Just drink the koolaid and you'll be fine! I think not! I've been at this far too long to fall for your shenanigans!

This solved my low connectivity in the far end of the house. Easy install - just plug it in and it connects to the wireless router. Picked up the signal bars for both 2g & 5g bands.

Set-up was easy. I thought the range would be a little more, but it was acceptable for my needs. The reception range is all the way across my house from the router to the extender, about 60 feet and through one wall. I had to place the extender in my window as the output would not go through the exterior house wall, then through the metal walls of my garage less than 20ft away. I think I lucked out with having a window in my garage door with line of sight to the extender, but even with window to window I only get about 80% signal strength on my phone wi-fi inside the garage. In fairness, my phone is over 2 years old, and only using the older wi-fi frequency, so if I had a better phone to gauge the signal strength on the other frequency, this might have been a 5 star review. I bought this to get wi-fi in my garage for both my garage door opener, and phones and laptop, it is serving its purpose.

Setup for this product was straight forward and easy when following the directions. There are two modes of operation for this item. First as sort of a Wi-Fi repeater, where it picks up Wi-Fi from your modem a broadcasts its own Wi-Fi signal to relay between you and the modem. The second way it operates is by running a CAT cable to the unit and having it work as Wi-Fi but instead of relaying through Wi-Fi it relays the connection to your modem through a cable. It should be noted that If you use the CAT cable way of connecting to the modem, the ethernet ports in the back cannot be used, but as a Wi-Fi repeater the ethernet ports can be used. This first way of using this unit is how I primarily use it and have had almost no issues. The closest thing to an issue I've had with it was when I had a little difficulty connecting to the Wi-Fi but fixed it by simply unplugging, waiting, and replugging it in. Overall I'd recommend this extender to anyone in need of one.

This little repeater definitely does the trick, I mean it should given that price point. Before I got this thing I would always get disconnected from my router which was on the other side of the house. Once I set this thing up I noticed I had a better connection instantly! But shortly after I noticed I would get disconnected from the internet randomly even though it showed I still had full signal. Initially I thought it would be easiest if I repeated the signal with the same name, call it 'Alpha'. But after doing some research, it is recommended to give it a different name "Beta". This way you're always guaranteed that you are connected to the repeater and not the router with the weak signal. After doing so, my transfer speeds increased to match my maximum rate and have not been disconnected since.

Definitely extended the range of my current router. Entire house now has a great signal strength. Set-up was not too difficult if you follow the instructions carefully. I got mine to work with no callS to tech support. My only bug is that sometimes my phone picks up the range extender signal before my wireless router and at the extreme other side of the house it becomes very slow. Every now and then I have to change from the extender to the primary. Not sure why the phone picks up the weaker signal first at times.

I needed a boost for range and increase in speed in a location in a finished basement. It does this, but not with the speed I.would like. It improved from around 8 Mbps download speed to 18 at most. I have over 50 Mbps coming into the house. I still need more strength as I cannot even make a WiFi call .. It is much better if you connect directly with a CAT5 cable. Works fine for most households, but not powerful enough with many WiFi devices (I have about 15 of them). If you buy this, plan on a hard connection from your router for best performance

I chose this extender after doing a lot of research for the one that could handle the largest range and give the best speeds. At 5 and 10 meters it handled perfectly, but I needed it for a sheshed 20 meters away. It's that far that the booster stopped performing as well. I blame the poor signal more on the WiFi having to go outside then back in than on the distance, as my tablets, phones, and computers can pick up, and get good speeds, from the router inside the shed just fine. I wanted this to hook up my TV, Chromecast, and game consoles, which can connect to the router, but have very poor reception inside the shed.

I needed to boost my wi-fi signal into a far bedroom of the house, mainly for streaming movies and TV shows in bed. I set this up in a room next to the target bedroom, close enough to the router to get a good signal. The result was that every room in the house now has a strong signal. It does need to be reset if you make any major changes to your wi-fi network, but the instructions of doing so are easy and available online.

I have always been a loyal custumer of linksys and cisco network products. I had to purchase a wireless network extender because of the apartment floor plan. The Linksys RE6500 was a life saver. The device was very easy to install and met my network needs by extending the signal strength of my wireless router. I would recommend this device to every person needing extended coverage.

I purchased the Linksys Wireless-AC Wi-Fi Range Extender because I was having trouble connecting to my Wi-Fi Router on the other side of my home. Now I don't have any problem connecting to the wireless from either side of my home, but my wireless devices may become conflicted where my Wi-Fi and Range Extender signals overlap. It usually works out as long as my wireless devices remain stationary for a few seconds, but when moving around a particular area in my home, devices may switch back and forth between the router and the range extender.

I bought this to use at a church, and it had to be placed on the opposite side of a wall from the sanctuary, but it still provides good signal strength throughout. I believe when I am able to move the Wi-Fi router closer to the access point, it will help improve the already-good throughput. Setup was a breeze right out of the box.

The range extender is easy to set-up. Does boost the wireless signal on the other side of the house as advertised. With all of the wireless devices of the average home today, this little gem gets your wireless TVs and other devices up and streaming. Gets rid of that irritating load circle right in the middle of a great movie!
