I ran a cat 6 from the router to my room and connected the wifi extender. Works perfectly via lan. However, it drops internet signal from time to time and I would have to restart/reboot the extender. What I don’t like about it is that it doesn’t light up if I don’t have signal. Next time I would probably get a better device with more lights (signals) and more ports.

The power light should blink amber if the extender cannot establish a connection or if it encounters a problem. It locked up during the installation and nothing I did would get the device to work. I broke down and called customer service (which you only get free for 90 days after purchase, so if you have issues, call asap). The tech on the line was great. Didn't waste my time with a bunch of nonsense and got the device reset, functional and tested in under 30 minutes. Once it was configured, it has run flawlessly.
