Difficult to set up, impossible to troubleshoot or reset. Be aware, if you buy this product and it fails, Linksys will go out of their way to avoid honoring the warranty - chats with tech support, multiple phone calls, bogus warranty link. Nightmare. Escalating now.

The location where the RE6500 Extender is plugged would impact its overall performance. It is recommended that the Extender is located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi, or better yet, reset the unit and take advantage of its Spot Finder Technology Feature to help you find the best location for an optimal range.
