Was looking for the best way to extend/boost wifi throughout my bigger 2-story house. Had a hard time getting it to connect to my current wifi network. Had to call Linksys customer support. Then, and only then, was I told that this router had to be within 30 feet of the base. AND, it only pushes 50% of the signal. *sigh* Just not what I need. Returned it.

The range extender should be able to detect both networks of your dual band router. Make sure that its firmware is up to date and try to manually configure the 2nd band.
