||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Before purchasing this device we (all 5 of us) would constantly either lose or otherwise have a very week Wi-Fi signal throughout the house. In fact, even when connected to our existing Wi-Fi, we'd have issues with dropping calls from one room to the next. After plugging in the extender we now have great Wi-Fi reception throughout our home - to include coverage in both our basement and attached garage.

I didn't actually use this and I ended up returning it since the Wi-Fi in my apartment seem to be working all right. It seems to be a good fit though, it's not the kind that just plugs into the wall oh, and it has antennas.

It produces a 2G and 5G extender bands. Works great with some older equipment and newer. Easy peasy to plug in and get working as long as instructions are followed (1st hand experience from one that doesn’t usually care about instructions manuals: they’re more like guidelines).

It's good to know that the range extender was able to improve your network's signal. However, in order for you to maximize the Wireless-AC speed of your RE6500, your router must also have the same Wireless-AC capability.
