I have a large two story house, I use the Technicolor CGM4140COM gateway from Comcast to support the downstairs. My AC4000 is plugged into the Technicolor CGM4140COM and it supports the upstairs. Inadequate Customer Service

I had to upgrade my router from my cable company a week later and change my wifi name. But the darn thing keeps searching for the old router. And the Linksys Updater won't connect any longer. It's locked in to the old router. Even unplugging the bloody thing for a week didn't work to reset it. And all of my attempts to contact Linksys have failed.

We recommend that you reset the extender to its default settings then reconfigure it to work with the new router. To reset the extender, press the Reset button for about 10 seconds while the device is connected to the power outlet. Unplug and replug the device to reboot. Decent Extender

If you don't need all the bells and whitsles, it's great. It met my particular need for an extender. Now I can control my digital mixer and have Wi-Fi on my phone or tablet, so I can also stream music using bluetooth.
