Just what the house needed

I really only needed it for a week, but this can do multiple things including making a Cat 5 ethernet network where you need it (as I did). It is also a network extender. This is great.

Signal strength seems to vary. Sometimes I get blinking or steady orange for no apparent reason...sometimes it drops sync for no apparent reason. Range not as long as advertised.

Once I got this our movies streamed no buffering. Worth it.

Tried many positions and configurations and could not extend the range in any meaningful way. I think the unit was fine, but the structure here is somehow more dense and/or redirecting than many if not most places. So, I don't fault the Ac1200. I think it's fine for what most folks would need.
