One bonus is that it supports DD-WRT and Open-WRT so you can push tons of flexibility into the box. Built in support for disks is nice too. I really wish the range was better, the device seems to be set for a weak signal.

This router is the best linksys ac router I have used. I do like this router but I would recommend a Nighthawk over it any day, even the "slower" cheaper 1750 nighthawk. I have 230 mb internet. Linksys gets about half the speed of my Nighthawk, if I'm lucky.

This router is very solid and actually a bit heavy which shows they built it out of solid material. It also has the ability to use OpenVPN. I didn't see that in the description but it has all the settings to use your OpenVPN account with this router. I am very happy with this router.
