Cannot manually set this router up without an active internet connection and the phone application. Application to control router also very lackluster and missing basic features and controls.

By design, the Linksys MR8300 must be setup using the App because it will not display data properly when configured manually. However, you can access it through the web UI moving forward. I was told to return it and get a mesh extender! I am not very pleased that it was sold as an extender and it is not one. I now have to buy the mesh extender! This is costing me too much and I am on a low fixed income!

The Linksys MR8300 is a Mesh router that outperforms traditional routers due to its Mesh technology, speed, and Wi-Fi coverage.
