Very happy with this router. the only thing that didn't work was the phone app. Used direct connect to set it up. Seems to be faster and has good coverage in my house.

Linksys Has Lost a Life Long Customer

Here's the quick backstory. I have a relatively small house, about 1200 square feet. I currently have a Linksys EA7200 that's a bit old, so I'd figured I's upgrade and mess with the new routers. First I bought the new Atlas 6 mesh system, as discussed, speeds were far below the EA7200 and connections issues with the mesh network - see that review. I thought moving back to a more expensive WiFi 5 router might offer better coverage. I set it up, same spot, same settings etc. and tested. Near the router and on LAN, same speeds, however at other areas of the house the signal dropped by 50-70% comparatively. For example, I was getting 100-115 Mbs it a top room with the EA7200, with the 2200 is was 35-45 Mbs. Same results around the house. Extreme drop off of signal strength. Lastly, Linksys has decided to move everyone to an online app to manage their router. For over 20 years, I've always managed through 192. ip. While it is still possible, the interface is very restrictive and difficult to manage. I would have thought, that while the app might be nice for the average person, network savvy people would like a more robust local interface. Not to mention, many options are locked or not available (band with, signals, etc). So in conclusion, Linksys has decided to create subpar products compared to event their recent models and limit router management without the app. I've only recommended Linksys to everyone I know, including setting friends an family up with them. Never again, Linksys you have lost a +20 year customer.

Linksys - AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 5 Router replaced my old WR 54 Linksys that was getting a bit weak. I have seen better performance with this router and am satisfied with the job it's doing in our situation.

Great for spaces around 2200 sqft like it says in the description. I ended up using this in a 5bdr house alongside a mesh unit. This was a huge step up from the previous net gear router that was not meeting our needs.

Could not believe how easy it was to hook up. I downloaded the Linksys app, established the router name and password and all our devices connected without any issues. Took less than 5 minutes. Full bar connections throughout the house.

Got this to replace our SPectrum router that was starting to have issues with the 5G, so I got this to replace it and so far so good. Signal is great throughout the house and no issues with connecting.

This is one of those devices that become invisible because it does its job so well. 2.4 & 5ghz networks are managed together and the router assigns a device to a network type, based on which it supports, completely seamlessly

Our wifi experience has improved dramatically after moving to this new router. The range covers the expanse of our house from front to back and like the ability to expand coverage further as needed.

I replaced my older router with this model because it was having range problems covering the whole house, and I live in a fairly small house. Now I have no issues. It even reaches the back yard.

Seems to be working better than our previous three-year-old NETGEAR router, knock on wood, but still a little too early after only about two weeks in operation to give it a solid rating so "good" will have to do for now!

When asked for help to choose a router that would work for us we were directed to one that was over $300 and told that it was only one in store that would do what we needed. We’ll, after I did my own research I found this one and it worked perfectly for a lot less. This linksys AC2200 router connected to all of our devices, including external drives in less than 10 minutes. It was simple to set up and connected perfectly. I just wish the employees in the store would have known enough about their products to help out with the purchase then my daughter wouldn’t have had to sit in parking lot for an hour while I researched which one to buy.

Router has been working great for the few weeks that that I've had it. I had to figure out how to get into the admin setting to create separate ID's for the 2Ghz and 5Ghz signals. Besides that, everything works well.

This router is working very well throughout our 2 story, 2000 sq. ft. home. Our main TV is connected via ethernet, but everything else is wireless. No problems and fast.
