I purchased the router to replace a 3-year old Linksys router, which works intermittently. This router seems to be performing as expected and I hope it doesn't develop the same problems as the old one. So far it is as described and working well.

My Comcast gateway was going out, so I picked this up along with a modem. My wifi range has extended noticeably and I love the parental controls built in and easily controllable with the free app!

Easy to set up and works well. With up to 12 people in the home, regularly, it seems to handle all of our Wi-Fi needs, from phone and computers, to streaming video and games.

More than happy with this router. The setup is done with an app (which I wasn't used to. Have done this a hundred times and normally just do it from a setup url) and couldn't be more simple. Would definitely recommend.

I purchased this wireless router to Cast from an Oculus Quest. For the price it works and looks great. It is easy to configure and manage. However, I have not explored the advanced features or configuration options yet.

It did work in the way I thought. My apartment was too big and the signal could not travel through the walls. But I’m sure it works for someone else.

      Hi, AnacletoL,

The MR8300 device is a mesh router. Since your apartment is too big, you might want to consider adding a child node to extend the coverage. Feel free to email us at LinksysCares@linksys.com, should you want to discuss more around this. Just include a link to this review as our reference.

a gig isnt a gig if you can't get a gig

Worked pretty good(300 mbs down) for about six months. Upgrade to gig from Comcast and all hell broke loose. Upgraded Router to Arris sb8200(Motorola manufactured). Started getting about 50mbs down. The admin UI doesn't have much functionality like Asus routers and you can only get a clunky app for cell phone rather than a desktop admin application. -Called Best buy, won't be calling them back -Called Comcast x8, had field tech come out to home. Got close to gig on the modem. Only about 50mbs on wireless before it completely stopped working. Tried the 30/30/30 method to no avail. -Called Arris, not very helpful, but then again thier product seemed to be working as expected -Called Linksys (they are replacing under warranty with free return RMA, Delivery shipping posted via email). Thank you! Overall, recent experience was terrible. Paying for gig internet service with +gig capable equipment but cannot get gig throughput to devices. When you order gig, it really isn't gig but somewhere close is what I was told by all 3 groups, repeatedly. Will retest gig throughput after replacement router arrives hopefully by the end of the month. Meanwhile, my business suffers from lack of suitable internet comminications after dumping some serious coin to get the gig service rolling. As of 03-18-2020 it ain't happening Awesome, thanks so much. Perhaps I'll get the Asus gig router that is comparable in price range.

      Hi, Eleceroley,

The Linksys Mesh Wi-Fi Router should still provide stable connection after upgrading your subscription speed but, you can send us an email at [email protected] if you need to track your replacement. We'd also like to investigate what happened to your support experience.

Just include on your email your case number or phone number including the link to this review for our reference.

I have a 2200 sq foot spreading home. The router is in an office on one side. It has better WiFi coverage through my home than the previous rental tower provided rental by my high speed internet service. Very happy!

We bought this to replace the router that the AT&T company gave us. It works great. Finally, we can use our Internet without it glitching or giving us problems. I’ll say it has worked wonders.

Great improvement over just the modem/router from Comcast. Especially now with all the teleconferencing and streaming TV, this was essential to keeping our household happy and functioning. If it lasts, it will be a 5 star.

So far so good and full coverage on all the area’s of my house, and don’t even need another mesh system to get a full signal. Just make sure you have a CAT 6 cable to get the best signal from the modem.

Setup instructions missing key piece of information, you will need the SSID and password from the bottom of the router to connect your phone and finish setup. Other than that, works great. No connection issue or dropped wifi.
