Works Great
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great. I ended up getting a Velop node and they work great together.Customer support was awesome as I had issues getting the Velop node to connect to the wifi router. Issue was solved in 30 mins and required downloading updated drivers for both router and velop node. I like the fact that this router supports tri band frequencies which allows all my older 2.5Ghz devices to connect and coexist with the newer 5Ghz devices seamlessly. I haven't had any reason to reboot or reset this router as wifi has never dropped in over a yr of use.

Excellent speed and coverage
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My old Linksys had served us well, but its time had come and it was replaced with the MR8300 which gives us speeds matching Xfinity's "Blaster" rates (230-240Mbps) and allows ROKU streaming throughout our 1800 sq ft condo as well as in the basement, without dropouts. The dashboard is well arranged and easy to explore, even for a user with limited skill. I confess that the setup was done by an IT consultant but it would probably not be difficult for someone with a bit more ability than me. Access via smartphone app is interesting, although I have only reviewed it an have not actually use it.

Linksys AC2200 Tri Band Mesh Router
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Linksys-AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh WIFI Router review. After several weeks of using the Tri-Band Mesh Router, it has been non stop, without end problems. After SEVEN Calls to Tech Support, I have NOT found one Tech Support person that knows what they are doing nor actually cares. The last 2 Tech Support persons, actually, repeatedly and absolutely refused to assign a Static IP address, within the actual router. That would stop the problem, of repeated disconnects and repeated incorrect reconnects of the two towers. When one tower disconnects, it reconnects incorrectly, and at times actually reverses the two Lynks Velop Tri Band Mesh Routers. I found out from another person that has the exact same identical system I have, and found out from the same person, a static IP address can be assigned within the Lyks Tri Band Router. That stopped the same problem from happening with their same system. From the start, the entire system has been a non stop problem. At most, it lasts for a few days, with the correct connections, of the three units. If the Lyks Tri Band Mesh router, would loose the AC to the unit, then the Tri Band Mesh Towers reconnect incorrectly, which is an additional problem, to the others. After the first week, after spending 7 hours with tech support, the system seemed perfect, IT WAS NOT. In the first week after tech support, second tier, it functioned ok. I wrote a glowing review, for the two towers, which I know now should have had zero stars if it would be possible. It lasted ONE week. I very mistakenly gave it 5 stars which is completely incorrect. The entire system does not even rate a 1 star. I would take the entire system back, if it was not for having numerous items now, trying to work from it. The time may have passed to take the entire system back. I may try take it back anyways, considering tech support has PROVEN, to be absolutely worthless. It does, have a very long range WiFi distance, but that is worthless, when the towers will NOT stay connected, in the sequence the are assigned and supposed to work, in the correct order. I absolutely would not recommend Linksys Tri Band Mesh Routers and Velop towers to anyone. They would not be worth even one fourth the sale price. All Second Tier Support has to do, is assign a static IP address, within the Lyks Router, and they absolutely positively REFUSE to do so. And that is on top of NOT knowing what they are doing, I really regret the glowing separate review on the Velop Tri Band Mesh towers (nodes) as it is definitely misleading to persons reading the review. My recommendation is definitely do NOT buy a Lyks Mesh Tri Band System. You will be deeply disappointed, after a very short period of time.
