Great Piece of Equipment for a Fair Price.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router is very fast and easily handles more than a dozen devices with stable connections. I had two "max-stream" extenders set up on my last router and this one took care of those without any additional steps.

Nice router, once it's set up
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not really stupid (retired Associate Technical Fellow at Boeing and retired Naval Reserve Intelligence Officer), but it took two half-hour phone calls (one to my ISP) and one to Linksys, to get this thing to work properly. My last router (also from Linksys) required installation and setup by a tech from my ISP. It shouldn't be that hard.

Good BUT
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good, works well, easy set up. Now the negative, I had a netgear that was roughly 5 years old. I was able to connect a HDD to it and run backups for all devices in my house. This brand new router no such features even though it has the high speed USB port. USB is not supported. This is the reason for the 4 stars and not 5.

Very easy set up, works great.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought Ethernet cables for the tv and laptop and use WiFi for the tablet and phone. This router is plenty powerful enough to reach everywhere I need to go and so far without needing to buy an additional velops unit. I may do so later for out in the yard for parties.

Very good product and excellent support group
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just purchased router and working excellent after using the Linksys to help me set it up. Had bought a Linksys router 4 years ago but lately when streaming movies started buffering. Salesman at BestBuy advised that the router I was using was out of date for what I was using it for.

Perfect For a Busy WiFi Household
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Set up via the app was more than simple and very easy to complete. The router also came with a Linksys Velop Mesh Wi-Fi node. This too was very simple via the app. Signal strength was immediately improved and maxed out my current internet plan. The node was used in my case to boost the signal in the master bedroom. Speeds showed overall improvement immediately. Remember this is not a modem router combo you still need the modem. I find the app one of the best features and is very easy to use and quickly get acclimated with. I have multiple devices on the network to include tablets, lights, TV streaming and security cameras. Linksys and this router handles it with ease. The node keeps all of my devices connected and I saw no drops in any services to include movies and music.

Perfect to maximize internet speeds you pay for!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router is perfect for the 2,000 sq ft house that I own. It has increased my download speeds by 4 times. The combo modem/router I had before was not giving me the speeds I was paying for. This this is awesome to go with my arris modem.

Good router once it is finally set up
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Once installed, it worked great. Getting it set up was a problem. The provided instructions just didn't work. What worked was calling up tech support. (Who said the included instructions were bad.) After walking through the set up with tech support, everything works fine.

HIGH END
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Powerful data communication machine, it deploys the exactly amount throughput of bytes in its IEEE 802.11. technology (aka WiFi) to each receiver networkable equipment under different performance.

Used for a mesh extender
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a Linksys MR7350 months ago and I needed more Wifi range. I got this router to use as a mesh extender. It was very easy to set up as an extender with the Linksys app on my iPhone. Much cheaper than extender pods.

Works very well.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to ask my son to help me. Did not understand downloading app to set up. Not sure why I have to use my phone to set up an item on my computer. What happens when a person only has a flip phone and not an iPhone? Thank the Lord for an understanding and helpful son.

Easy setup
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solved all my WIFI issues I had with IPhones. I use it for security cameras and other home devices without any issues. Our IPhones would not work if we were not in the same room however all other devices would after we installed this router all of our devices work flawlessly.

Linksys AC2200 review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product is a nice upgrade from my old WiFi. It’s performing as it should, however I feel signal strength isn’t as good as my understanding was it would have a greater perimeter reach compared to my older one. It seems about the same.

Worth the money
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works very well. No problem streaming. Could have better setup instructions. Download linksys app. On your phone first. After that follow instructions. Reception good throughout house and outdoors. Mine is located in basement single story house.

Big improvement
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced a TPLink router and this one blows it out of the water. The TPLink didn’t cover the other end of the house very well so I had to purchase a repeater. I don’t need anything else with the Linksys!! It is strong enough to support many devices with no issues.

Really Good Router, Great Foundation
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Linksys Mesh capable router that I have had the opportunity to review and I am in love. Not too long ago you needed intermediate to advanced networking knowledge to properly set up a new router, let alone a network of routers if you wanted to completely blanket your home with wifi, which is pretty much a standard utility anymore. But gone are the days of calling 192.168.1.1 home. We have capable apps that do all of the work for us in a very simplistic fashion that even the most novice user could feel comfortable with. Pair that with the even more capable hardware that Linksys is supplying in their Mesh systems and in minutes you can have all of the internet speed that you pay your provider for. Amazing hardware and user friendly features aside, I think my favorite feature of this router is that its a budget friendly cornerstone that is very capable by itself, but it allows you to add on nodes at a later date as your budget allows in order to maximize your internet access in corners of your home or even outdoor living spaces that are hard to reach with traditional router set ups. With this review, I was also supplied with one of Linksys Velop's plug in nodes to pair with the MR8300. It is the same node that is supplied with some of the other Velop Mesh systems offered, but it appears that this node will be offered by itself now. After setting everything in place and completing the brief set up process, I began to test this system side-by-side with a modem/router combo that was previously handling the internet duties. No matter where I was in the home, the results were noticeably better with the Linksys MR8300. The rated ISP speed in the package currently paid for in the home is 100 mbps download. With the old combo hardware, I was getting 70 mbps standing next to the old system and struggled to get 30 mbps 3 rooms away on the same level. Now with the Linksys MR8300 and plug in node, I was getting results of over 110 mbps anywhere in the home and 45 mbps standing across the street at the neighbor's house! If it wasn't so cold outside, I would have kept going to see how far this system would still provide reliable signal. But I have no doubt that this router and/or Mesh system will solve any internet coverage issues that you have. This is the future of home wifi and for good reason!
