The Linksys RE6300 range extender is compatible with any wireless router. We could have tried to use the WPS or try the set-up with a different mobile device or computer for isolation.

If your extended network has a different wireless network name from your router, then make sure to have it connected to the extended network. If her laptop can directly connect to the extender using an Ethernet cable, then please try doing so and see if it can access internet. We live in a smaller single story home and the signal is based in the living room and placed this halfway down the hall and it improved the signal of the WIFI by only one bar for the other side of the house.
