It extends pretty far, since the router is all the way in the second living room and my room is the farthest down the hallway. I can peacefully use the Wifi now without worrying about it disconnecting everytime I am trying to work or etc. I was getting tired of her hogging all the Wifi over there and my laptop/phone stuck at one bar or no bar at all. Totally recommend to get an extender since it boosts the Wifi.

I do wish I had bought this earlier as I spent too much time on the phone with techs from Xfinity trying to get better connections that were clueless and never mentioned getting an extender. Maybe it is me but the only confusing thing about the directions was to use password "admin" to access the extender. "Admin" did not work so I finally entered my Xfinity password and was able to access the wifi.

It is said to help computers as well, but I can’t say I’ve notice any great difference in computers. It did help the Doorbell.
