If the range extender is placed too far from an existing router, the extender may not expand WiFi or WiFi may be spotty. You can try to relocate the extender to help ensure your Linksys range extender is in the right spot. One of the keys to maximize the coverage of the range extender is by choosing the right location. It would help if you place it where it is getting at least 50% of your router’s Wi-Fi signal and is located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi.
