Decent range, in fact it seems to be more powerful than my router (which is getting a bit old tbf). Anyway it did exactly what I needed, which was just to improve the Wi-Fi in the northeast corner of my adobe house (thick walls, steel lath). My one year old initially wanted to pull off the antennae but she soon lost interest, so it survives. If you have a one year old you may want to look for an extender with internal antennae.
