Ended up not using it in the the long run as it would continuously drop the WiFi signal. Save your money and go with a netgear product instead.

One of the keys to maximize the coverage of the range extender is by choosing the right location. It would help if you place it where it is getting at least 50% of your router’s Wi-Fi signal and is located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi.

But, I'm not having luck setting this thing up. I need it as a WIRELESS extender because of where i need to place it, but its not connecting that way. Super frustrated. Will probably have to return.

It only extends consistently in the single room it's in (and about a hallway's length beyond. I can't move it anywhere else in the room without it being too far out of range for the router. Would like it better if the coverage was more substantial.
