Setting up the RE6300 Wi-Fi Range Extender is easy through its browser-based setup page, and there’s no need for an installation software or setup CD. To fully optimize its performance, it's recommended that the extender is getting at least 50% of your router's WiFi signal and is located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi. The Linksys RE6300 WiFi Extender is compatible with any router. You can try to hardwire the extender directly to the router and perform a set-up through a wired connection.
