The type of router that you're using and the location of the range extender are just a few of the factors that can impact the unit's overall performance. Ensure that your range extender is getting at least 50% of your router’s Wi-Fi signal and is located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi.

It improves my reception when my electronics are far from the WiFi router. Glad I purchased this item. My tv works better. Less times of freezing up. Easy to install. Keeps install info even when you unplug the unit. Fits reasonably flush against wall. Looks nice and doesn’t get in the way. I recommend it if your WiFi reception is poor.
