The wireless signal originates from my basement way down & I use the booster on my second floor with great results. What I really appreciate is that it has a lan connection to hook up a computer that does not have wifi built in, simplifying remote connection for a desktop.

There are several factors that will affect the performance of the range extender, like interference or wireless configuration. It is possible that the range extender needs to be relocated. It Didn’t Work For Me.

It never fully connected to my network and the color indicators were hard to distinguish between green and amber. I ended up returning it for a cheaper version that worked immediately without issues.

It’s only a little annoying that it creates a separate network to connect too- it would be nice if it simply boosted the existing network so I didn’t have to connect to a different one when moving around the house. To achieve maximum wireless coverage, it is best that the extender is getting at least 50% of your router's WiFi signal and is located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi. We recommend resetting the range extender and taking advantage of the Spot Finder page to help you find the best location.
