It also fades in and out on occasion. I would recommend paying more for upgraded model if you plan to extend beyond @ 25 feet from the unit.

The wireless signal originates from my basement way down & I use the booster on my second floor with great results. What I really appreciate is that it has a lan connection to hook up a computer that does not have wifi built in, simplifying remote connection for a desktop.
