It worked okay for a few months, although setup took way longer than expected. After moving to a new house and having it in the same room as my router, this extender just decided it didnt want to connect anymore. I have tried everything by the book to reset it. Nothing works. Linksys should be ashamed. I will be moving on to a Netgear or other brand.

Resetting the RE6300 is no longer needed once it is up and running. Just make sure that it is running on the latest firmware version for optimum performance. With their new "upgraded" router and modem my range in the house went down. I should be getting 200+ Mbps but now upstairs (not that big of a house) I get like 30. I added the range extender and now get like 150 on wifi so all is good again! Was worth the money.
