This was a great option! The 5GHz band is more powerful than my main router. I’m now looking to update that to a Linksys as well, based on this extender’s performance.

I bought the extender so we could access our home network from next door, a distance of less than 30 feet. It barely and unreliably connects. I can see the extender and the signal only has to broadcast thru two sliding glass doors, no RF blocking materials in the way.

Wireless networks are susceptible to obstructions that may lead to low signal connection, as the signal gets reflected, refracted or absorbed by the obstruction, such as metal objects and glasses. You may try relocating the Linksys RE6300 somewhere high or in an elevated area to get around the obstruction and observe it connection.
