Short Lived, then Bricked

It worked okay for a few months, although setup took way longer than expected. After moving to a new house and having it in the same room as my router, this extender just decided it didnt want to connect anymore. I have tried everything by the book to reset it. Nothing works. Linksys should be ashamed. I will be moving on to a Netgear or other brand.

It ended up not working

It was easy to set up though.

I bought the extender so we could access our home network from next door, a distance of less than 30 feet. It barely and unreliably connects. I can see the extender and the signal only has to broadcast thru two sliding glass doors, no RF blocking materials in the way.

Wireless networks are susceptible to obstructions that may lead to low signal connection, as the signal gets reflected, refracted or absorbed by the obstruction, such as metal objects and glasses. You may try relocating the Linksys RE6300 somewhere high or in an elevated area to get around the obstruction and observe it connection.
