The distance between the two structures is only about 20 feet, but the signal strength has not improved very much despite moving the extender around to different locations. May need to return it and try something else.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Before you consider on returning the unit, allow us to help you in setting up the extender and making it work to its full potential. In setting up the device, you need to make sure that you get at least 50% of the router's wireless signal and it should be located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi.
