The Linksys RE6300 range extender should improve the range and speeds up to AC750 on your existing router. You can try to relocate the extender using the spot finder feature to find the optimal placement.

Connected it to my network port in the wall and it made my wifi go from 20 mbps down on the apartment wifi to 200 mbps down on my own network. Totally recommend!!!

One for my parents' house which has a strange, and difficult layout for wireless. Works great in the areas that had no coverage previously. The second was for my home. Helped get wireless to areas with poor reception, and works as a great bridge to a wired device far away from the wired router.
