But it's a beautiful phone with great reviews from others, and excellent price.

It does what it was designed to do but only if the signal is received from the modem. My provider sucks.

Relocating the extender might help as proper positioning is one of the vital factors to look into. To maximize, we recommend placing it in between the router and the area that you’d like to cover. Just make sure that it can still get an optimum connection from the router and that there are no physical obstructions that may reflect, refract, or absorb the signal.

Difficult to set up

The setup process is easy as long as you have an active Wi-Fi connection and your RE6300 extender is positioned at least 50% of your router's wireless signal. It’s ok does the job

This is totally unexpected! Your devices should work fine on the 5.0 GHz band as long as they get at least 3 signal bars.
