It is quite unusual for the extender to stop working in just three weeks. Were there any changes made to the network recently? If none, relocating the extender closer to the router might help to get an optimum connection. Sometimes, rebooting the devices does wonders as well.

We appreciate your honest review of the Linksys RE6300. Range extenders are dependent on the router. Aside from ensuring a stable connection from the source, you have to make sure that it is placed in between the router and the device(s) that are out of range. The spot finder feature can help you with that.

not easy to set up

Relocating the extender might do wonders. You can place it in between the router and the area you’d like to cover.
