Relocating the extender might do wonders. You can place it in between the router and the area you’d like to cover. It is quite unusual for the extender to stop working in just three weeks. Were there any changes made to the network recently? If none, relocating the extender closer to the router might help to get an optimum connection. Sometimes, rebooting the devices does wonders as well.

If you mean that the phone takes time to load when connected to the extender, one factor could be its placement. It should get at least three WiFi bars from the router. Did not work for my situation

For as long as your existing box supports the system requirements of the Linksys extender, then it should work. Setting up the device is easy with its browser-based setup feature; there’s no need for an installation software or setup CD. OK at First...

It worked great for a week or two. Now, it’s never “green” and devices sometimes seem to take longer to connect than they did before I started using it. Streaming is now pretty sketchy as well. I’m disappointed...may need to return and try another option.

Problem is, once it has been properly connected, it takes three to four times to get to its settings. It will continually tell you it isn't properly set up, but if you run a wi-fi analyzer, you'll see it is broadcasting. What I finally did was get rid of its "_.ext" extension and instead let it broadcast as my wifi name without the extension. Now it works fine.

The Linksys RE6300 WiFi Extender can extend your WiFi up to 6,500 Sq. Ft. You can try to relocate the extender using the Spot Finder to help ensure your Linksys range extender is in the right spot, and make sure to update the extenders firmware for isolation.

Set this up as directed but outside the signal from the Linksys extender was no stronger than that from the router. I returned the unit. What's worse is I used a promotional rewards certificate on the purchase and learned later these are not reissued like the normal certificates! BestBuy fails to disclose this adequately. So I have no Wi-Fi extender and I wasted a rewards certificate.
