Set this up as directed but outside the signal from the Linksys extender was no stronger than that from the router. I returned the unit. What's worse is I used a promotional rewards certificate on the purchase and learned later these are not reissued like the normal certificates! BestBuy fails to disclose this adequately. So I have no Wi-Fi extender and I wasted a rewards certificate.

We truly understand where you're coming from. For the range extender to work up to its full potential, it should be within range of the router and it should get at least 2 - 3 wireless signal bars.
