The Linksys RE6300 supports Wi-Fi range up to 6,500 sq. ft. However, we must always consider the physical obstruction that may cause of any issue. Make sure to that your range extender is getting at least 50% of your router’s Wi-Fi signal and is located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi. The Linksys RE6300 is easy to set up and, it is compatible with any wireless router. You may try to use the WPS or try the set-up with a different mobile device or computer for isolation.

I have a PC that only has an Ethernet port, no wireless capability. But you cannot turn off both the rebroadcasting wireless bands. Why not??? You can turn off either the 2.4G or 5G but not both. So in order to use this one band is rebroadcasting, which I don’t need or want. I wanted this device to connect to existing wireless network and to provide Ethernet access WITHOUT rebroadcasting my wireless network. Returning this device. NOT recommended!

The range extender should boost the Wi-Fi signal of your current network. In order to maximize the unit's full potential, it would help if you place it where it's getting at least 50% of your router’s Wi-Fi signal and is located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi. Also, it features a Spot Finder Technology which will help you determine if it's in the right location.
