After power outages the extender was very difficult to reactivate. It streamed slowly and would often stop in the middle of a program. When I could no longer get it activated customer support offered to "clean" my computer of the numerous hitchhikers on my wi-fi with a signal that barely reached from my office to my living room. Give me a break. I bought a better product and scrapped this one.

Make sure to update the firmware version of your Linksys RE6300. Also, ensure that the extender is getting at least 50% of your router’s Wi-Fi signal and is located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi. It could be that the extender is not getting an optimum connection from the router. Try moving it closer and if that won’t help, let’s have our Escalation Engineers check what’s causing the challenge.
