How far is it from the router? To maximize the use of the range extender, we'd suggest doing the following:
* Use a wireless-AC router/access point to fully utilize their capability.
* Place the range extender in an area where you are getting a strong wireless signal from the router.
* It is recommended to use WPA2/WPA Mixed Mode wireless security on your router and range extender.
* Update or re-flash the firmware.

The Linksys - AC750 Boost Range Extender unit seems to be defective and that's why I returned it.

It could be that my internet just sucks or something in my house is interfering with the wifi
