If your RE6300 Wireless Extender is properly positioned and the firmware is updated, it should be able to repeat your Wi-Fi signal without degrading the speed that your router provides. We recommend taking advantage of the Spot Finder Technology feature to help you relocate the extender for an optimal performance. Unless I’m using it wrong my phones don’t auto connect to the stronger signal so I have to go back and forth manually between the extender and main WiFi.
