This extender doesn’t work very well and loses connection frequently. I would not recommend it to friends. You might have better luck, but keep the receipt.

I was looking for something to help create a stronger signal from my first floor to the second. It might work better for smaller areas.

The Linksys RE6300 supports to extend your existing WiFi range up to 6,500 square feet. However, you may also consider physical obstruction that may cause connection issues. Also, it is recommended to place the extender in between the router and the area without connection and should get at least 50% of the connection from the router. I have verizon 1gb internet and although I wasn't expecting this extender to match the speed, it wasn't even close. Had to return it.

Got the device to boost the signal to the other side and on ground floor. It started well, but then we got booted off the network on a daily to twice a day. I unplugged it, and moved the router 3 feet toward the center of the house. I don't have the receipt and hard to return stuff because of COVID-19. So the new the device in in my drawer and I am out 60 dollars. So don't buy it
