try moving the router first

Got the device to boost the signal to the other side and on ground floor. It started well, but then we got booted off the network on a daily to twice a day. I unplugged it, and moved the router 3 feet toward the center of the house. I don't have the receipt and hard to return stuff because of COVID-19. So the new the device in in my drawer and I am out 60 dollars. So don't buy it

I have verizon 1gb internet and although I wasn't expecting this extender to match the speed, it wasn't even close. Had to return it.

Even though the signal strength appears to be good no improvement in connectivity. Sometimes original WiFi connects better than the booster. Planning to return.
