It has poor range, poor consistency, and every once in awhile I do happen to get connection, the speeds I'm getting is abysmal. I went from 120 mb/s to 8. Took around 10 times to try connecting to the router as well. I've never seen such a useless product and baffled that best buy is even selling this garbage. Save yourself the trouble and headache and spend $60 more and get a Nest.

Not worth the money. I have Fios, and with hindsight I should have bought a Fios compatible range extender.

Certainly, this is not the experience that we want you to have with the extender. There are 2 applicable configurations for the Linksys RE6300 - as a range extender (wireless to the router) and as an access point (wired to the router). Make sure to select the correct configuration. Also, for the range extender configuration, the best spot is in between the router and the device(s) that are out of range.

The range extender should have provided extra range for your Wi-Fi network. It is possible that the extender is too far from your main router, that's why you are not getting a steady bandwidth from your internet.

Wasn’t impressed!

It's not really expected that your RE6300 Extender will provide the exact amount of speed coming from your router as the distance and other signal interference can affect its overall performance.
