It works when you are sitting right under it but if you move to far the signal is gone. Definitely doesn't work from inside the house to the back yard or even the end of the deck which is like 20' away.

I followed the instructions, watched videos everything I could to get this to work. It never did. The indicator light never got to green status. This took a lot of trial and error to make sure I wasn’t doing something wrong, the testing took time. Then I had the joy of returning it to Best Buy one day after the deadline of 15 days. I have to complain about that return policy too. A bit too brief Best Buy. I’m avoiding products from China going forward.

All too often I do not get the WIFI signal reaching its desired component and the results show the component as being offline.

I figured this could improve wi-fi throughput in some blind spot around my house, but no matter where I put it, I couldn't see any improvement.

Item doesn't work, too many different ajustment and procedures to deal with. Recomend others to nt waste their money or time.

Even close to the router the repeater signal is not that good. If you have at a certain distance, that is was made for, the results are poor to none.

This item was not the best for me. Maybe it will work better for those that are in small spaces. I would not recommend this item to anyone.

Had this less than 3 months and it no longer works. I only had my work computer connected to it.

It kept losing its signal. Setup is easy as long as you have wps. spectrums wifi routers wps button is not usable so the setup sucked.

It does not work. I was in the same room with my router, had a laptop, a desk top and 2 smart phones connected via WIFI to router, this unit would not see my network at all, neither 2.4 nor 5 Ghz showed up. It picked up the one across the street, but not mine. I rebooted router, changed band width, etc. no change, not worth a dime.

I have been having some trouble with band width at the farthest distances on my network. I bought this to see if it would help. It didn't.

Did not give me the performance range I needed. I did not like the product. It was also a little difficult & confusing to use.

Connectivity was easy; however, the Wifi Extender did not improve the signal from my router to my TVs. Returned to Best Buy within 15 days for a full refund (gift card).

It doesn’t always work. I had to get Comcast signal repeaters for my home because this kept losing signal

Didn't work for my needs with century link service.

Not too impressed but it "works" for basic internet. Loses range even next door.

I bought this product to extend the network for a ring voice doorbell. Placed it within five feet and extended it from a Netgear high dollar router and do not see much of a difference

I received a free sample of Linksys AC750 Boost Wi-Fi Range Extender (RE6300) in exchange for my honest feedback. Box was packaged well. Unpacked from box and plugged in close to my Linksys EA6900 Router Did Wi-Fi Protected Setup with my Linksys EA6900 Router. - Pushed button on RE6300 - Pushed button on screen of Linksys Smart Wi-Fi utility’s Wi-Fi Protected Setup tab (located under the Wireless menu). After about 30 seconds, this setup the 2.4Ghz extended network automatically. Did it again (same Wi-Fi Protected Setup)… and after about 30 seconds, this setup the 5Ghz extended network automatically. Placement of device is KEY to success. We have a big house with 3 levels so I had to unplug and move the device 4 times until I got a good connection on Spot Finder (in the green). My final location was plugged into “an out of the way” outlet in the middle of the stairs behind a plant. I chose this because it was almost in the exact middle of the house and it would not easily be kicked or knocked out of the wall when walking by it. The signal can also make it downstairs to the bottom level and garage/driveway. I followed the instructions to get to the RE6300 setup. Once there, I named the SSID the same as the main Linksys router (select the option “Make same as router settings” – you need to do this for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks) and while it is harder to change the configuration once you do this, I found it the best choice for ease of use by my family and friends. I would recommend this setup option to anyone else setting up an RE6300. I plan on just setting this device up once and forgetting about it so this should only be a one-time consideration. In the RE6300 setup, I also renamed the Admin password on the RE6300 to a safer password (not the default “admin”) that matched my EA6900 router (easier for me to use the same for both). I tried the extended 2.4G and 5G networks on the main level and found substantial improvement and now I can get wireless in the garage and further into the yard. My family (not fully aware of this new device) is now calling me a hero because they always complained about a bad signal on the main level of the house and now have a great signal. The RE6300 also helps save us money on our cellular bill because our iPhones no longer have to borrow data from our plan due to weak signals. The RE6300 is a great product that is easy to setup and use. It only took me 15 minutes to setup and put in the final spot. It also arrived when we needed a better solution. We love it and would definitely recommend to our family and friends.
