The Linksys RE6300 WiFi Extender can extend your WiFi up to 6,500 Sq. Ft, and deliver speeds up to 300 Mbps (2.4GHz) + 433 Mbps (5GHz). We could have tried to relocate the extender or set up the device as a wired access point for isolation.

The setup process is easy as long as your RE6300 Extender is positioned to a spot where the Wi-Fi signal is good and your router is broadcasting separate networks for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radio bands. If the LED of the Linksys RE6300 is solid orange/red, then it means that it gets a weak connection with the router. Please try relocating the Linksys RE6300, and make sure that it gets enough connection from the router. You may also consider physical obstructions that may cause connection concern. The site survey said I was in the green for the connection. Factory reset, configured, it worked - for about a week. Reseted and now it was not seeing 5Ghz. Last I tried the outlet right next the fios, it did not see network at all, either band 2.4 or 5. I'm sad to say, I have returned it.
