Easy to setup and strong signal for medium hause. Good for smart tv

I have a multi-level home with a new Linksys router but I still needed a range extender for wifi signal to reach the far corners of the house. The Linksys AC750 works well but would be nice if it would mesh seamlessly with Linksys router instead of having separate name/address. Overall this product works exactly as advertised. Good stuff!

It was easy to set up and works fine, but the unit has to be closer than I thought is would have to be to the access point. It makes the Internet go all the way to the back of our cottage. This unit is 20 feet or so from the access point and improves the Internet for another 25 feet.

Overall I was very impressed with the ease with which I was able to set this range extender up as well as the performance. The set-up worked flawlessly, the RE6300 has not lost the router signal once and I’m now seeing the same performance at corners of my home that I also get right next to the router. I have never seen this performance with any other range extender. I received a free sample from Linksys in exchange for my honest feedback and I'm glad I did. This is the 3rd range extender that I have tried. With the prior two, the set-up was difficult and they would often lose the network and stop working. In addition, the data bandwidth was usually much lower than when positioned close to my router. The RE6300 set-up without any headaches, the coverage is great, I’m seeing the same performance on the edge of my home as near the router and it has been working flawlessly. I have a home that has many dead zones and it can take time to position the router and expander for full coverage. The RE6300 has spot finder in the web-based tool that was very helpful in positioning the router far enough away to maximize my coverage, but yet keep a good connection to the router. You can set-up the RE6300 by using WPS or by connecting to its built-in Wi-Fi network that shows up as the default settings. I tried both since I used it at my home and a friend wanted to try it out at his home as well. Both modes worked flawlessly and were amazingly easy. I have struggled many times trying to configure extenders and changing settings after they are connected has usually been a big hassle. When you set-up the RE6300 with WPS, it automatically creates a new network for both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. It adds _Ext to each of your current networks so that if you had 2 Wi-Fi networks (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz), you will now have 4. This is actually helpful because you need to connect to the extender Wi-Fi to access the settings and find the best location for it. Once you have the Extender positioned for the maximum performance, you can then change the settings on the RE6300 so that it uses the same settings as the router. I like to do this so that I do not need to make any changes to the many things in my home connecting to my Wi-Fi. Or you can just keep 4 Wi-Fi networks and just connect to the best one. Warning: Don’t check the box to make the RE6300 have the same settings as the Router until you get the RE6300 set-up in the right location. When the RE6300 has the same settings, it is hard to make sure you are on the RE6300 network vs the Router when you need to change the RE6300 settings. It’s not impossible, just much harder. Setting-up the RE6300 using a browser really wowed me over. No software or needing to use an Ethernet cable to connect directly to the RE6300. The RE6300 puts out its own Wi-Fi network as the factory default and all you need to do is connect to that network to configure it. It was amazingly easy. But once again I will warn you. Don’t check the box to make the RE6300 have the same settings as the Router until you get the RE6300 set-up in the right location. When the RE6300 has the same settings, it is hard to make sure you are on the RE6300 network vs the Router when you need to change the RE6300 settings. It’s not impossible, just much harder.

Awesome tech. It took my laptop upstairs from 20Mbps to 246Mbps!!!! The WiFi is at the bottom of my stairs and the extender was placed on a wall inside a bedroom on the second floor. It gave me 10x the speed! It is super easy to set up too!

Excellent router. It is simple to hook up hasn't given me any problems in the two months I have had it installed.

I bought this to hopefully extend the range of my wifi. Initial setup was easy. However, this extender would often get buggy and I had issues with consistency. Next time, I would go with a better option.

My son easily installed the Linskys Boost Range Extender in order for the wifi to work better at our home. Using this device was more economical and less of a headache to deal with. I would recommend this device to anyone wanting a boost in your wifi.

Purchased this to connect specific devices to the 2.4GHz, as my new Optimum router would not let me define which units would connect to the 5GHz or 2.4 GHz. It also extended the range within areas of my home

The extender has really helped with getting WI FI in other areas of my home. Would recommend as it is super easy as you just plug it in.

Easy setup, helpful in boosting the wifi signal inside and outside the house. I placed one inside the home and placed one in my garage, now the signal from my internet reaches my equipment in the detached workshop.

We were not able to connect our smart TV in the den. This extender does the trick and now we have no issues! Quick and easy solution. We are not tech savvy and this was easy to connect.

I had a weak WiFi signal in my two story apartment. My router is upstairs and the signal downstairs is very weak but since I got the Linksys everything room in the place has a perfect signal. It’s super easy to install and it takes about five minutes. It really changed my life.

Does give a good range, but its quirky with one of my MacBooks (which is fine on all other networks) if you have multiple MacBooks and face an issue at least you know you're not the only one. Shame the ethernet can not be used as an OUT only and IN. That would have been a handy addition. Pretty straight forward to set up (unless its keeps losing its connection - which it did for me). It has to be so close to the router it's annoying, but it does it extend it further than the router alone. Also has to have a different name for the network, so its not seamless movement around the house, you have to switch networks.

We are happy with this product and internet coverage through the whole house and outside patio improved a lot

Brought my internet to the full potential of what I was paying for - not just a portion of it. Really helpful with my work space being on the other side of the house from my modem. Only issue is occasionally they'll unexpectedly drop the connection, but they reconnect pretty fast
