Our internet service provider provided us with a different extender/booster and now we are stuck with this defective product past the 30 day return window.

I returned it after getting it set up correctly and having it work one day. Then the next day it disconnected and I tried everything to connect it again and it would not. So I took it back to the store.

I get a stronger signal from the router than I do this extender. And thanks to Best Buy's ridiculous 15-day return policy, I can't even return it for a better a product. Don't waste your money.

Try to relocate your Linksys RE6300 midway between the area without Wi-Fi, and to your router, and ensure that it is getting at least 50 percent of your router's Wi-Fi signal. This extender won't even extend a signal 20 feet consistently without dropping its connection. Save yourself the hassle and avoid buying this trash.
