This extender won't even extend a signal 20 feet consistently without dropping its connection. Save yourself the hassle and avoid buying this trash.

Rest assured that this is not the expected behavior of the extender as long as it gets a stable connection from the source, put into a strategic location (in between the source and the device that is out of range), and has the latest firmware. Just buy a mesh network. This is garbage.

I just wasted $40 on this experiment. It always crashes I'm constantly resetting it. The 5g range is very small. I upgraded to a mesh network, should've just done that in the first place.

Buy anything else

The Linksys website where you access the settings SUCKS. Can't even attempt to check settings, just taken to a blank page.

You have to sit right next to the device to even get some sort of signal. Tried to return but Best Buy would allow it since it was after 3 weeks, I am now using this thing to hold up a table leg in the closet.

Did not work for us

Also it slowed down the performance of the router. The device is just not for me.

Bought for price over quality. The unit was literally 20 feet away from the router (2 rooms away) and could not get a signal that would stick. Not a product I would endorse.

The best location for the device is just right at the edge of your main network signal so that you can maximize the range of the wireless network. not easy for me

This is the one that was recommended. Got it home and it will not connect. I have tried to call Best Buy several times however no one answers the phone. I would like to return it.

Poor service, unable to connect to my router
