It could be that the extender is not on a proper and optimum location. It should be placed between the router and the area where you want to extend the connection, but it should get at least 3 WiFi bars from the router. Junk and they lied on product features

It is recommended to place the Linksys RE6300 midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi and ensure that it gets 50-percent of your router's Wi-Fi signal. I purchase the item to extend my signal just a room over and it simply won't work on a house with concrete walls. It won't even boost the signal on the same room. It was a waste of money.

Since you have concrete walls between rooms, we suggest that you place the range extender in a strategic location. You can put the device just between rooms or just at the door of the next room. The range extender needs to have a clear line of sight to your main router in order to extend the signal. Also, make sure that there is a Wi-Fi signal where you will be placing the device.

You can try to relocate the RE6300 WiFi extender using Spot Finder Technology. If placed too far or too near from the router, a range extender may not expand WiFi or WiFi may be spotty. Spot Finder helps ensure your Linksys range extender is in the right spot.

I have it only 4ft away from the modem and I still cannot get it boost my wifi in the next room. I have two of them and in two different homes and unless it is in the same room it still blinks yellow.
