Never connects to my WiFi.

The range extender may not have established a connection to your main router. You can try to reset the device to factory defaults and configure it again to your main Wi-Fi. The Ethernet port allows you to connected wired devices to the range extender to get internet.

There are two ways to set up the Linksys RE6300 Wi-Fi Range Extender. You can connect your computer to the extender using an Ethernet cable and access its web-based setup page, or connect to the extenders SSID and access its setup page.

Didn't work, not so simple to even try to connect

It's odd that the simple setup process didn't work for you. Setting up the RE6300 Range Extender is made easy through its browser-based setup page without the need for an installation software or a setup CD. To avoid any setbacks, make sure to have an active 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz wireless network connection, and your extender is within your router's Wi-Fi range.

The Linksys RE6300 can eliminate dead zones and extend the WiFi coverage up to 6,500 sq. ft. If you experience any challenges, you may try to update the firmware and relocate the extender as it might be placed too far from an existing router.

The Linksys RE6300 will allow you to extend your router’s wireless network to an area without wireless connection, and it is recommended to place it in between your router and that area without Wi-Fi. Ensure as well that the extender gets at least 50% of the connection from the router. We can have our Escalation Engineers help you with this further. Im happy with the performance and Coverage. The Setup was easy. I set it up using the browser and it was done within minutes. The spot finder was spot on of the location to place it where it will most effective. No more deadspots in any part of the house! I would gladly recommend this product to anyone with any connectivity issues.

Setting up the Linksys RE6300 should be easy using WPS or the browser-based setup.
