Didn't work like I thought it would

Setting up your Linksys RE6300 is easy with its browser-based setup feature. There’s no need for an installation software or setup CD. Try to reset the extender to its default settings and wait until the light is blinking orange before starting the setup process. The distance you mentioned should be enough for the range extender to connect to your main router. The firmware of the device may have been outdated which cause the challenges that you experienced.
