The Linksys RE6300 extender is compatible to work with any routers including the modem router from your ISP as long as it is broadcasting separate networks for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radio bands. The Linksys RE6300 WiFi Extender can be set up in two ways. You can press the Push Button Connect feature on the AC750 BOOST to automatically sync it to your router.

It is recommended to place the Linksys RE6300 in between the router and the area without wireless connection, and it should get at least 50% of the connection from the router. Thanks for providing your feedback. If the Range Extender is placed too far from an existing router, a range extender may not expand WiFi or WiFi may be spotty. Make sure as well that it is running on its latest firmware version to optimize its performance.
