The setup process of the Linksys RE6300 is simple as it no longer need a setup CD for installation. For setting it up, we must make sure that you have an existing wireless network, have its current Wi-Fi name and password, Ethernet cable (if you wish to use it in an access point mode), and computer with a supported browser. The Linksys RE6300 will allow you to boost up the Wi-Fi range of your router up to 6,500 sq. ft. However, we must consider obstructions that may cause slow internet speed or it may block the connection. Please ensure that your range extender is getting at least 50% of your router’s Wi-Fi signal and is located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi. We recommend you to try relocating it and email us with your observation at [email protected] with your contact info and the link of this review, for our reference. If you're still trying to set up the Linksys RE6300, try to reset it first to factory default by pressing and hold its reset button for 10 seconds, and wait until its LED turns blinking green/yellow. If you’ve previously able to setup your Linksys RE6300 to your router, then try to moving the extender near to the router and check the connection. Make sure to place the extender in between the area without Wi-Fi and your router, and ensure that it gets at least 50 percent of the connection from the router.
